Security Infrastructure Management Systems allow a user to see realtime correlated alerts from multiple components of security infrastructure, including but not limited to NIDS, NIPS, HIDS, and HIPS appliances and agents throughout a network. In some cases, SIMS even allow for the monitoring of physical security devices such as motion sensors and security cameras in conjunction with network monitoring.
